Good to know
- US border crossing: please bring a valid passport and any required US entry documents.
- Waterton Lakes: the Chief Mountain border crossing is seasonal (about mid-May to the end of September); outside that period we use the year-round Carway crossing.
- Glacier National Park: commercial tour vehicles are not permitted on the alpine section of Going-to-the-Sun Road (Lake McDonald Lodge – Rising Sun), so we visit St. Mary Lake and Lake McDonald from each side and cross via US-2 (Marias Pass). The park’s historic Red Bus tours over the pass (seasonal, roughly July to September) can be booked separately. The Carway/Piegan border crossing is open year-round.
